This artical looks pretty good at the beginning then goes south as soon as you start reading the true use is.

Looks like simply a way to make something that’s a part of everyday life, more expensive and cumbersome.

Would you guys actually call this “3D printing” at all? It sounds like it’s a process that’s fairly similar to making jacuzzi tubs, just way faster.

All aboard the 3D hype train ! Toot toot !

Can’t say after the second line i stopped reading.

If you click through to the original Bloomberg article, it’s a little better. They apparently use the same technology to make compression bandages.
It doesn’t really get into how this is 3D printing, and not just the typical spraying something onto a mold.

This makes me wonder if diapers will be 3d printed in the future.

I wonder what the costs of stuff made with this technique would be and if greed would prevent it from being competitive with manual labor and specialized machines.

If these can be disposable…because ewww…nobody wants to wash that shit…they may also be able to make other items washable, reusable and lasting.
