It is certainly an achievement but I would never willingly eat food produced by such a means. However, it probably will have some serious application.

@Paul_B why would you not want to eat it?
It is just existing tech already used by the food industry that packages ‘TV Dinners’ ,frozen pizzas etcetera scaled to 1x1 and probably doesn’t do a halfway decent job of any one thing ! Same place had a link to a dog operated washing machine. Just because something can be done - doesn’t mean it should be. !
What I’ve yet to see is a food printer that can produce low layer heights. My buddy is really into gastronomy and were considering a tempered chocolate extruder using small nozzles instead of the massive pastry tube. If its possible, I want in!
