yeah, but this can actually tilt the hotend, useful for printing in non-layer format.

I can’t tell from the mockup, are there two motors per axis? or is only one arm driven?

This is an excellent platform for a LENS type application since the build direction has to follow the profile of the part. I spent some time talking to nick about this at mwrf

Mike, it looks like two motors, but only one belt. I can’t figure out how the control the arms separately with only the one belt…

@Mike_Miller @Tom_Sommerville This is just one possible drive setup but the way I have it modeled is with two belts. The drive pulleys have an integrated idler so you can mount it upside down on one side and run with two belts.

When I actually get around to building this I will probably go with a string drive instead. Someone else is build a metal version right now with side-by-side ball screws.

The kinematics are way beyond my abilities, that’s for sure!

The best part about this is the rotation of the head!
