Got my new hotend installed (last one finally died) and setting up a z probe as well.

I will most likely replace this nozzle with a Merlin or an E3D hot end. Any preferences on one over the other?

E3D is the one you wan’t.

E3D all the way. Trusted, proven, reliable design and its very creator participates in this community often. The Merlin guy does too, but I haven’t heard of anyone with his nozzle and 3D printing as a whole is moving away from PTFE-lined, PEEK-held nozzles. Plus the Merlin does some things that the community has found are bad ideas.

Threaded PEEK for instance, has a terrible habit of breaking at the threads and the Merlin hot end has the PEEK holder so thin that I don’t think it would survive for long.

Thanks @Tom_Oyvind_Hogstad and @ThantiK looks like it’s the E3D.

Any idea ware the zprobe section is in repetier firmware I don’t know if they took it out our what but it’s not ware they said it is and as far as I know I have there latest firmware.

Found the option for z-probing its in the development repo on git hub.

Going to be a big make over to my I2 ill post pic with my upgrades.
