got the missing step stick today…
made already some testruns… hrm
i think the glasbed is moving on the left.
i know the fan doesnt belog there…

  1. i think one “washer” is missing between the cold and hot end (wade extruder - j-head)…the head is moving back and forth.
  2. the back x-axis-rod is not horizontal…the wood broke at one point because of some nail…had to fix it…but it is not holding properly.
  3. the glas-plate/bed seems to move on the left…because the head is moving in from the left i didnt want to put something in its way.
  4. the wires which are holding the bearings are loose…need to tighten them and apply some hot glue.

The fan doesn’t belong there? This looks like an E3D, in which case, the fan is required to be on the hot end.
Also, I see black blobs on both sides of the heaterblock. Is that leaking plastic? Did you tighten up everything?

Those noises are not good. The motor for your bed is having a very hard time.
And that nozzle is wobbling. I’m surprised you can print with that.

Tighten everything as much as you can. If needed, you can then print better-fitting parts. When I first built my i3 I had to attach my extruder with zip ties till I printed an adapter. Well, I didn’t have to, but I didn’t want to wait till I received the long M4 bolts that I was missing!

Yeah, sounds more like a loose part than the stepper. I see a loose bearing. The louder noise is related to the Y axis it looks like (front to back movement) but could still be something loose.

i think it is the copper wire that holds the glassbed that is making that noise.

Tighten when warm… If you do it when it’s cold you run a risk of problems… It doesn’t have to be printing temps but enough to soften the materal.

That’s not an E3D HotEnd. It’s a clone. I’ve not tested that particular clone but either way you really need to get a fan on that heatsink.

You might be fine/borderline for printing ABS on it, but you are at serious risk of damaging your carriage by softening it from conducted heat.

The supplier might not have provided you with a fan, but you really do absolutely need one. I don’t know if they followed the drawings for the v5 hotend accurately, but if they did you should be able to use the v5 fan duct on thingiverse and a 30x30mm fan with at least 4CFM of airflow.
