Really like the mdf finish. Mind you I think he acrylic looks nice too!
Acrylic is very nice, but easy to crack during assembling.
Yes, we have a few cracks on the x motor carriage.
Have anyone to try to build this model in aluminium? Is one of my future projects… But I’m afraid of the weight…

I saw one guy how builds one in aluminium in reprap forum… But was not yet functional… And no feefback related to weigh…
I love this model (the one that Kurt is working on… Is great) but I cannot do it in other material than aluminium…
If someone have any new… I will appreciate it a lot
