Greetings from a land down under. I am building my own CNC primarily for PCB and electrical label engraving. The objectives are simple 1. All parts must be readily available for anyone to purchase or fabricate and 2. The machine must be able to replicate all parts for itself once built. That way the machine can cut replacement pieces for itself. Humans as hard as we try we can not achieve the finish of a good machine. Here is a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csddOilDxx8 Cheers all
Good job!
looks rigid enough to work aluminum pretty easy
Where did you get the 10mm aluminium from in Oz?
@Steve_Slese Leftover bits from a truck build, I believe it came from Capral.
Thanks.
It is encouraging to know that someone else without a background or extensive familiarity of CNC machines built a solid design.
@Chaotic_Logic Thanks for the compliment, you are correct I have never even seen a CNC machine until I bought a little two axis laser engraver then I did some Googling and was amazed at what they could do. So I looked at a few machines on You tube and it developed from there.
Nice!
@Steve_Slese Also try Aluminium warehouse I just found them and they have lots of chunky goods.
Thanks,
