Greetings! I think this is my first time actually posting here. Just wanted to show off a little, since I’m still kind of new to 3D printing and learning a lot.
The Monoprice Select Mini is actually my second printer; my first was a da Vinci Mini, which was not exactly the easiest to get working correctly. (Wound up having to take the thing apart and tighten the Y axis belt. Fun!) The MP Select Mini, by contrast, has been almost a complete joy to use. The bed leveling isn’t the easiest thing, and I’ve grown accustomed to monitoring the print for at least the first 3 layers before walking away because of that, but otherwise it’s a fantastic little printer. Just needs some tweaks…
Currently using the MP Select Mini to print out upgrades for itself. Right now, printing an upgrade for the spool holder, as seen at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1788944
Already printed and installed a filament guide, found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2036976
Printing in PLA+ by eSUN, which seems to make exceptionally smooth and rigid parts that are tougher than regular PLA. I got it from Amazon (see https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EKEMFQS/ for pricing details), but I’m sure Fry’s Electronics carries it.
The build surface is BuildTak, which seems to help with adhesion (and the PLA+ adheres exceedingly well to it). Blue 3M tape works OK, but is pretty much useless after 1 or 2 builds.
