Guys i have a printbot simple from a friend and i need to change the printrboard. I trying to use a revF, but looks like the default marlin for this revision uses an inductive sensor on z. This printer doesnt have one and if i try to disable the autobed leveling on marlin, i get compilation errors (ConfigurationStore.cpp:73: error: ‘bed_level_probe_offset’ was not declared in this scope).

Is there an “official” revf marlin for non inductive sensor printbots???

I don’t believe so but the auto level probe is pretty cheap, I’d recommend buying one.

Did you just comment out the line #enable_autoleveling.? If you delete the section you might run into issues.

That isn’t perfect as I don’t have Marlin in front of me but it should be close

And if you have the aluminum bed just grab an inductive sensor. Worth every penny!

What printrbot simple is it??? like what year?? And easy it originally with an inductive sensor??

What version of Arduino IDE are you using? It should be 1.0.6.

@Nicolas_Arias ​​ may not make a difference. But I know the current version causes issues.

There is a way to drop back to the endstop… I’ll get nick to show details.

Technically would it even make a difference if you had autoleveling enabled? I mean you just don’t put G29 in the start script in your slicer and it shouldn’t know the difference right?

The sensor is 12v so not safe to put an endstop on there

@Brook_Drumm , is there any wiki/article/spell to make it work on an old printerbot?

@Brook_Drumm ​ are you saying that I can’t hook up a normal mechanical endstop on the z stop port on a printrboard Rev f?? Just want to make sure before I start plugging stuff in and releasing magic smoke haha
