Guys i nuked my laptop recently and it removed 123D from it and i am now unable to reinstall it since autodesk no longer supports it, what other program do you guys recommend i use besides openSCAD?
Fusion 360
any other ones i should try?
isnt Fusion 360 Cloud based? im looking for something i can use offline
If you like 123, other sites have it, such as https://m.en.softonic.com/app/autodesk-123d
@james_pond thanx man ill download it when i get home, hospital WiFi wont let me lol
123d was migrated to fusion 360. It can be used offline. There is a video from Autodesk on how to migrate.
I also use SketchUp but it will be limited unless you are an expert
+1 for Fusion 360
It just awesome
Well i downloaded 360. Gonna give it a shot
Personal fan of Designspark Mechanical. It’s more like sketchup but then as a proper working CAD tool, instead of something that frustrates the hell out of you.
I’m so glad with fusion360. If you want something opensource check freecad
Ok thanx guys
I found a few Android apps, but did not try hem out yet. I heard Blender can do STL files. I think there might have been 3 web based services in the last year that were advertised in this community.
Blender is cool and all but in no way a step from 123d. You need to first go to something more similar to solid modeling before going into dealing with faces, vertex and edges
@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty thanx
Someone just mentioned FreeCAD in a different post.
+Fusion360 all day
