Guys, my gantry it’s very wobbly. If I shake one side backwards and forwards the other side starts playing up and moving in opposite direction.
My gantry aluminum extrusions are not square at ends where plates are. I used large angle brackets to attach plates to extrusions and then I screwed plates to extrusions to minimise play.
I may need to place eccentric nuts on top wheels as well as some have any traction, too much play between plate holes.
Any suggestions on how to make sure gantry it’s a secure as it can be?
Hey @Milos_Vajdic can you get us some visual aid? Maybe a video or some pictures. May be able to shoot some advice over if so.
The gantry will do this prior to hooking up the steppers and belts. Once the steppers are powered it will lock it down.
You said your extrusions aren’t square as well. Thats important, that way they seat well on the plates
