Hack the Ciclop. Controlled with an Uno and CNC V3 Shield, both are about £5 each from the right source.

I built a desktop 3D scanner for my local @Swindon_Hackspace . Using the @BQ111 Ciclop chassis but with a standard Arduino UNO and CNC V3 shield for electronics. Controlled by open source Horus software and a patched firmware. The firmware for the UNO and CNC V3 shield combo can be downloaded from GitHub - swindonmakers/horus-fw: Fork of the bq Horus Firmware for the Ciclop desktop scanner. Modified to use Arduino UNO and CNC V3 shield.

Thanks to @BQ111 for making the chassis models, instructions, Horus firmware and software #opensource

Great work! I’m planning to build one also and CNC V3 boards are quite cheap. Will the patched firmware work with Arduino Leonardo boards without changes?

@Chengster_N As long as you connect the correct pins from the Leonardo to the CNC V3 board then yes.
