Had a chance to see the XYZ Printing DaVinci this morning. Seem like a good collection of parts for $500!
Built like a multifunction printer that you would buy at an OfficeStapleMax.

Proprietery filament you must buy from Davinci no?
Yes. And supposedly the workaround to bypass their chip protocol has been closed off.
Deal breaker. I saw it at CES and yes nice for $500 but I’d never welcome the hell that is proprietary cartridges like we did with inkjet ink. Never.
If you’re willing to treat it as a “bag of parts”, it’s still a pretty good deal at $500, though. Just reflash the board or replace with your own!
Agree with you there. Cheers buddy!
@Ashley_Webster lol, I’m new to Google+, but what’s it mean when someone just posts your name somewhere? I got a notification someone mentioned me
As for the Da Vinci, I just got mine almost a week ago, and it seems to be holding up pretty well. I’m currently experimenting with the different softwares and such, and am looking into doing “The Pit”'s super easy firmware replacement, as that looks very promising
