Had a fun time trying to serious milling of Aluminium for the first time.
Topped 2000mm/min. Could have gone to 2500-3000 within the limits of the spindle but it was getting too loud.
Looks like there was no reason to hold back on working metals and stick to technical waxes and soft wood up to now.

It’s a YOOCNC 6040 with the 1.5KW water cooled spindle.
I replaced the breakout board with a russian USB+Ethernet board that takes the actual commands from MACH3 but creates all the timing on board.
I also added an alcohol based mist cooling with a quiet airbrush compressor and build a case around the machine.
