Had my first real test on the cnc. One dog tag later and a circle, just to find slight inaccuracies
So now for the runout, square circle diamond test. Then to build a box for the arduino and shield.

Congrats! Looks good!

What was the problem you found as to why you were not getting a circle initially, but getting a 4 point star?

In his previous post he suggested the issue was makercam was exporting too many decimal places.

Yep. If you export g-code with Makercam set to cm’s the g-code has many decimal places. If set to inch’s only 3 or 4 dp’s.

However now Inkscape exports dxf as R14 and CamBam only imports upto version 2000. Two steps forward one back!

Great!

Good job, your machine looks great. Very clean assembly.

The diamond/square/circle test file is now inside ChiliPeppr by default to help folks who want to use it to calibrate. It’s under the drag/drop pulldown menu in upper left corner.
