Had try it... Rim printed in Taulman nylon 645.

Had try it… Rim printed in Taulman nylon 645. And it feels great!
Only problem is, is it even possible to glue the tire on it???

Nice print! Do your printed rims cause any vibrations when you drive them?
And store-bought rims are nylon as well, which glues perfectly with superglue.

@Thomas_Sanladerer Thanks!
Not sure about the vibrations, haven´t tested the latest version yet. As i´m no RC expert, is this a common problem and what would be the cause of such vibrations?

Thanks for the tip on superglue, i think i´ll print a set of Nylon rims for the testcar!

The way the rims are centered on the hub, both the bore and the nut’s surface as well as the drive area all need to be made to fairly tight tolerances or the wheel will start to wobble around. The wheels spin the fastest when you can is up in the air and you’re correcting from the landing - having a wheel shaking could be disastrous.

Ok, thanks so much for the info, very valuable indeed. Considering both rims and tires will be printed this might be problem. But i´m not quite there yet, i´m focusing on other parts now and i´ll just save this one for later… :wink:
Again, thanks alot for the input, i´ll keep an eye out during testdriving.

Good print, what you temperature you use??
Thank
