Has anyone had any experience with http://robotdigg.com? I want to buy some stepper motors and electronics from them but their prices seem to good to be true… I’ve seen mixed reviews online, so I am just wondering if anyone has any positive or negative comments about them.
Fast, cheap, good… You get to pick two. Sometimes, just one. But I guess that describes a lot of places.
Ordering system is a joke. You submit your order, then they send you an email to paypal them the money (not a paypal invoice!). Ships from china so it takes a while, and the shipping isn’t cheap either, but the products seem pretty good. Weird thing I found is that their steppers are wired 1-3-2-4, so the cables have to cross over. They come with matching cables, just something weird to be aware of.
Ya i had a problem with the shipping. I requested China post an they decided to send TNT. TNT charges an extra $50 on top of the shipping.
After back and forth the decided to offer a $20 coupon to help with there mistake. So i go to use the coupon and guess what. Has to be used with a $100 over order. Didn’t say that in there email. I wonder if i will even get it with a $100 order or maybe there is a next excuse. Just make sure and stipulate your order and requests over and over and over because one time is not enough, that’s exactly what they told me, they said i only told them once so it not true. Chinese customs.

I ordered from them a couple of weeks ago. Pulleys, lm8uu bearings, gt2 belts, and 8mm leadscrews with steppers attached and anti-backlash nuts. The ordering system is not great, but the products look good and arrived in about a week (to Australia).
