Has anyone had any issues with WS2812b pixels? I want to know the reliablity of these LEDs, I haven’t been using them for long, but I want to install them somewhere that is difficult to repair if it fails, unfortunately I think if one pixel fails all the other ones after that fails too, so if one fails it really destroys the show. I wanted to email Worldsemi for info but there’s no mail address on their webpage! If you have any info please share!
Pry not a perfect endorsement, but I’ve had 3 strands in my windows for 2 years now (almost exactly 24 months actually). I’ve had no failures, but to be fair, they only run a program for a few hundred hours out of the year, most of that during Christmas and Halloween.

No fails in mines, more than 400 pieces in differents projects… The main problem can be the wiring.
No fails, except I did stupid things to them…
I have had failures but only during the making/installation phases. The infinity mirrors I made using some 3000 leds have been running over 8 months 12+ hours a day.
Thanks all for sharing your experience, now I think I can use them with less concern for failure.
Currently I’m using ~15k for a project, and other than a few bad half-strands (remember to test at each point in the install) I have had zero failures. So far so good.
You can use WS2822S,
WS2822S LED has the power supply voltage stabilizing circuit,time base circuit,signal decoder block,data buffer,built-in address storage circuit EEPROM.Each pixel owns independent address, any pixel’s failure won’t affect any other pixel’s display effect.
