has anyone here ever had a heater bed fail over time ?

has anyone here ever had a heater bed fail over time ?
or does anyone know where a can find the expected lifetime of a pcb heated bed?

Unless there’s a break in the circuit, it should outlive you.

@Carlton_Dodd is right. They are pretty simple in nature. I mean stress on them can wear them to have a break in the circuitry like said, but there really isn’t much more to them than that.

With a very thin copper layers, excessive high heat cycles and several disassemblies, the copper traces could potentially pop off. But I can’t see that happen unless you abuse it severely.

ok then, thanks a bunch for all your responses. i was thinking about using aluminium clad resistors and mounting a few of them directly to a aluminium plate. that way if for some reason one did fail, the print bed would still be mostly functional. however i don’t think the lifetime is the biggest problem anymore.
