Has anyone here tried E3d's copper heater blocks?

Has anyone here tried E3d’s copper heater blocks? Do you notice a difference in how it works thermally vs. the aluminum blocks? Does the plating do a good job keeping it clean?

Well ive made a copper block myself 2 years ago? Not for e3d but all I can tell you is, that you need lots of energy, because the copper conducts the heat that good and gives off heat to the atmosphere… The 30W heater was not enogh for the job. PWM is working at high rates there. Is it only plated?

@VolksTrieb It’s copper block with nickel plated if I remember correctly.

@Dont_Miyashita aaaaright yeah that should work. nickel might prevent the losses. Its copper for a very good reason. When measuring a aluminiumblock youll notice temperature differences on both sides, also the filament takes a lot of heat with it, so the temps on the nozzle arent what you read from your thermistor
