Has anyone tried making a mobile work table for a computer?
I have 1 2x4 (10ft long) and lots of scrap plywood. Oh and I have 4 wheels. I want to it for CNC and for laser. These two machines are in two different rooms.
I haven’t done it in a while, but there used to be a way to Google 3D images many of which are Sketch Up projects for CNCs. I remember there being lots of computer work station files matching your description.
I saw them too. I just was wondering if anyone here ever made something like that from scrap in their workshop.
When I first read this, I did not read it right and posted some links to CNC designs. lol
Thingiverse and some other 3D printer places may also have some CNC milling design files for tables and such.
Are you wanting to take a computer that controls the machines between the two different rooms? I take it your machines are controlled over a parallel port and do not have their own control unit that can be remote controlled over the network? What are the dimensions of the object you want to make?
@NathanielStenzel to be honest, I have no clue about the dimensions =) I just though if someone had made a table from w/e they have in the shop and would like to share.
I need to connect a desktop to two machine in order for them to work.
I will just make a small desk on wheels to carry it from one room to another. Will post images when I create one.
@Max_Kalin I wish you luck. Sorry if I was not any help. Sometimes I post mainly to get people to post more of an idea of what they want so that others can properly help them. Maybe you could browse furniture catalogues and then try to copy a design of something you like.
