Has anyone used the MicroCenter PLA filament? I ask because right now it is $14.99 USD a KG with free shipping and I would like to take advantage of the price if it is decent filament.
The inland stuff? I believe it’s rebranded esun. I’ve used it and it’s fine, your results may vary. At the price it’s worth getting a roll or 2 to try out. It is definitely not unusable.
I’ve gone through about 60 rolls of the stuff. Awesome awesome awesome. Not even just for the price. I can count the total number of jams I’ve had on one hand for all the rolls. The white isn’t the best but I haven’t tried it in a couple months so maybe the improved it. Otherwise all other colors work excellent.
Thanks for the feedback. I will get some at this price.
I use it all the time no issues
It sucks. Carbonized in my Printrbot’s all metal hotend at 190 C requiring me to disassemble the hotend and drill out the heat break on a lathe. Another roll had such inconsistent filament diameter I had horizontal rings on vertical cylinder. I’ve had a few rolls that printed without issues but the diameter was never very consistent so it really emphasizes the layer lines. If I can remember I’ll post the terminator skull and owl I printed with their grey. I still use some old rolls of it to print non-aesthetic parts at 300 microns when I just need to test fit before printing it out of nicer filament.
@funinthefalls I know @raykholo has gone through a ton of rolls of it as well
A few too many, and what with the store being a 22 minute drive away…
