Has this happened to anyone? 5 strips, all with unique data lines.

Has this happened to anyone? 5 strips, all with unique data lines. I was testing the strips before moving forward, attached the top strip to the controller (all other strips data lines were not attached to anything) and I get this “bleed” over of lights on the non-connected strips.

Something I should be concerned about it will it be fine once I connect all 5 strips to their assigned pins?

It’s always been good practice, never leave an input floating (disconnected). Tie a 10k resistor to either Vcc or Gnd for the unused data lines.

Should be fine once you hook them all up to the controller because then they won’t be floating as Gordon mentioned. They’ll either be receiving data (and have close to +5v) or not be receiving data (and be 0v).

Hook them all up already Tim! I want to see whatever new coolness you’re making.

@marmil Oh you will! Almost done, next week it will be posted on here

We’ll be waiting man!
