Have anyone any experience with the aluminum mk3 heated bed. Should I use kapton, PVA or glass on top. Do it need some sanding? Should it be possible to print straight on aluminum? Currently I struggle a little with adhesion / warping printing PLA. Trying with diluted PVA but I don’t think the PVA sticks to the aluminum. Will try to sand it before my next print.

I have good result using Kapton tape, am about to flip it over and print on the aluminium side http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2863/11888800773_1623c60335.jpg once i get the motors installed, am expecting to wait a little longer to get upto heat.
Soldering the cables is a kick in the balls if you dont have a really good solder.
Im using it belly up (alu side on top) with glass, im loving it.
Had to turn my solder iron up a little to get enough heat, especially on the ground pads. Luckily I have a good solder station. Wan´t to avoid glass as I´m a bit tired of the rattling from paperclips (Trying to build the worlds most silent reprap
) Anyway thanks for the tips so far. Will try a little sanding and better washing before I try a little bit more with PVA glue. If I can´t get it to work reliable I will try with kapton.
