I’ve had some print like that with a spool of black one time. I like shiny usually but the matte looks cool!

Yep, with Prusa Pla (silver version)

I had same story but my PLA was brown. And it looked like mate chocolate!
It got glossy if I printed 10C deg hotter than usual

I think it depends on the printing temperature.
