Having a bit of issues… Wire broke off my PCB heater that sits under my metal plus… I have resoldered it once already… Looking for a more permanent fix… Also of note does anyone know the size of socket head cap screws used to hold the linear rails to the aluminum bed, I seem to be missing a few screws on the left side (full disclosure : this was a used unit when I received it… Amount of usage on the printer is unknown. PLA prints awesome despite the two missing screws on the linear rail, needing the heated bed to work for PETG) absolutely love my PrintrBot it’s doing its job at making my laser,CNC router, and electronics projects look even better than before
i’m pretty sure i saw @Brook_Drumm in one of the older construction videos mention it’s an m3x8mm screw for all the linear rails. i think it’s also mentioned here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9oj0J-4qhdjdHIzTHQySjJEQkE/view
If a soldered connection has the wire break off next to where it was soldered, it is because there is flex/strain on the wire. Zip tie that wire to something that is solid… a few holes through the carriage underneath for example (sorry, I don’t know what the Metal Plus looks like under the build plate). If the wires are allow to flex right up to a soldered connection, it WILL break. If you can tie down the cables an inch or two away, they will not break anywhere near as often.
