6h print + 2 h filing & sanding + painted with acetone.
Model design created with Sculptris, obj -> Stl (Blender), import into Sketchup to create the holes for pencil. Sliced with Cura, printed with Octopi.

Thanks! Will give it a try. The Slic3r provided with Repetier-Host Mac struggled with this, but after passing the STL through netfabb and upgrading to Slic3r 1.1.6, got a decent result much faster. The bottom appears slightly off from flat, which may be an issue, plus there are plenty of overhangs. Will give it a try…
Keep it easy:
no support or raft, 0.2 layer, 0.6 wall thickness, 10%infill give good result for me
