Hello all, I completed a project for school that everyone here helped me greatly with!! Much Appreciated :), but I have decided to take what I have made and Streamline it a little. Basically I have 64 WS2812B LEDS Would it be possible to run these off of a 3.7v Lipo Battery? I Plan to use a 3v Adafruit Pro Trinket to run the sketch and I know the 3v Lipo will run it just fine, but what about the 64 Leds, The sketch I would say on power consumption would be moderate. I planned to use a 3.7v 4000mAh battery. The plan is to have the battery run it maybe for a few hours at a time! Maybe turning it off and on every so often. How will the LEDS do being powered at 3.7v? Thanks Again!

You should be fine to run them on 3.7, they might be a bit dimmer but I never perceived a difference. Make sure to use protected batteries or a Protection Circuit Module such as the Tenergy 32003. And you may know this too, but I’ll say anyway, keep the batteries in parallel, not series.

Thanks so much for the info!

One of these will run 64 neopixels for a good long while. https://www.adafruit.com/product/328

Awesome, thanks for the info! Looking into those now. Also I’m looking to add two small displays one Each side using 2 16x8 Matrices

I plan to also use a separate Adafruit Pro trinket and Battery to power them. Any thoughts on where I may be able to find the Drivers?
