Hello everyone, I am new to laser engraving, but I bought a machine on eBay and hoped for the best. Turns out that is not the way to go. So now i have a working machine with a lousy software.
Then i heard of LaserWeb and gave it a try, but i cant get it to work.
I was hoping that some of you migt be able to tell me if my machine is compatible with LaserWeb or if i should try another software.
I do not know much about it, but i am hoping that the photos might help.
Kind regards Simon Kjærhus
ps. sorry english is not my first language and i’m not that good at it.
I am not sure what controller your laser runs off, but you’re likely going to need to upgrade the controller to one that is compatible with LaserWeb (e.g. Smoothieboard 3X, see: https://shop.uberclock.com/collections/smoothie/products/smoothieboard-3x for USA, or http://robotseed.com/index.php?id_product=9&controller=product&id_lang=2 for EU). There are other options for controller hardware upgrade, although I know nothing about them so won’t recommend any (will let others who do use different ones suggest them).
+Peter van der Walt Does that mean LaserWeb can run on @Simon_Kjaerhus 's setup? albeit with limited features?
edit: lol, posted at same time.
Is it possible to just replace the driver and keep the laser module?
+Peter van der Walt @Simon_Kjaerhus Hey. This is a very different board to mine. While I do have the similar arduino and stepper board, the rest is much beefier than what I have. I have a Eleks Maker board.

ps. I have adjusted it to pin 11 that does change PWM it seems. Have a post in show and tell that used it.
