Hello FastLED!
I’m excited to share FRC Team 16 Bomb Squad’s 2017 robot, Spectre. It will be competing in this year’s FIRST Challenge: STEAMworks. For game information see here:
We have 3 strips of WS2812B strips, one on each side, for a total of 291 pixels.
Currently we have an adaptation of Fire2012 running 2 dynamic flames. This pattern runs before our robot competes in a match. We are working on code to use the strips to display wheel speed, current draw and specific tasks throughout the 2 minute match. I will create a new post when completed.
FIRST Robotics Competition teams are for grades 9-12. In short, high school students work alongside real-world professionals to learn about STEM. All wiring, programming and troubleshooting were done by our controls team, pictured last.
