Hello folks, I would like to ask about total number of LED (NUM_LEDS). Is it safe to set the number of LED to maximum (relative)?. For instance, my total number of LEDs will vary around 75 to 150 (max) and it is never going to exceed 150 LEDs. Then, let’s say my grandpa has her own LEDs with total number of 100 LEDs, and he knows nothing about Arduino let alone changing the NUM_LEDS to exactly 100 in Arduino IDE. Back to my original question, is it safe to set NUM_LEDS to 150? Just in case if I’m not at home and my grandpa connects his LEDs. I’m sorry for my ignorance if someone has posted theoretically the same question.
Yeah you just want the max number of LEDs you might use in the code and the animation might not always look right. Your grandpa sounds hella cool
