Hello guys ! I want to buy a 3d printer,

Hello guys ! I want to buy a 3d printer, you have some advice for me?

Don’t get a makerbot.

@nophead mendel90 if you want to build one yourself or a printrbot. got me a makibox first and that sucked but now I own a mendel90 and it’s worth every penny!

How about you give us some more information instead of a bland “I want one, what next”. Well, first, take out a mortgage on your house, because someone might suggest to you a titanium laser sintering machine that goes for $300k+.

What are your goals? What are you willing to pay? What features do you want? How much technical skill do you have?

He may want to print out a new house. But he’ll need to get one of those from China most likely.

I have just seen the printer Mendel90 and another printers from http://deezmaker.com, the price is expensive, but I think that the proportion quality-price is important then the price isn’t a biggest problem … however I have seen also the printers cube , Xcube of Cubify (the price is like the others)… what do you think ?

… with this printer I want print the buildings that I create for my clients , but also other object that I create…

I second what @Garo_Jekmeian has said and I too own a Deezmaker printer, the Bukito. It’s the first of my printers to print parts. But like @ThantiK and @Garo_Jekmeian have said, you need to define some parameters first. It’s like asking, I need a vehicle, what should I get.

How large will your scale model buildings end up being and would you be printing them as one piece (skyscraper) or perhaps floor by floor (3 story house, with design details on each floor)?

You can print very large objects in many pieces. Or if the scale is small enough as a single piece. If you want to glue parts together, you may want a heated bed and ABS plastic-ability.

Ok … I want an efficient printer, to print objects and little buildings… the price is around the $ 1000 - $ 1400 … I’m an architectural 3d Artist and many of my clients are interested to have a little print of her house/room ecc…

60-70 centimeters ?

Here, I found what I should have suggested from the start:

Probably I can have many clarifications from this. Thanks Rojer and thanks to all other person for the advice !

Wait, 70cm? That’s huge compared to the current available 3D printers. Most do not go beyond 20-25cm.
Only printer that I know off that nears that size is the DeltaTower: http://deltatower.ch
