Hello guys

I’m in the market for a surface to print ABS… I have a heated bed but the adhesion sometimes is not good over the slurpy or glue.

any suggestions?

PEI sheet, hands down the best surface for ABS or PLA imo.

I was about to get a filaprint sheet… But can’t find any review that looks legit.

Second @Thomas_Sanladerer PEI grips like crazy. Printed a lot on lulzbots with PEI and couldn’t believe the adhesion with abs. Didn’t even need anything more on it

Well its more popular in germany I think. Look on their homepage. They have “PEIPrint” and others (I have Pertiprint, optimal for Nylon!).

Pei. But be weary using petg on it, it sticks almost too well. Abs is perfect, pla requires making sure the surface is really clean (might be my bed or extrusion temp though).
Done maybe 100 prints on it without any damage at all.

PEI all the way. Buy a sheet of it (0.040" thick is plenty) and attach it to your glass or aluminum with 3m 468mp tape. http://Zoro.com is the best place I have found for low price pei sheets in the size I needed for my large format printer.

@Thomas_Sanladerer Do you know a good cheap source for PEI sheets in Germany ? I need a 35x35cm and don’t want to spend 100€ for it …

@Romeo_Pavel unfortunately not. If you have trouble finding ready-to-use PEI, you might have better luck sourcing the 3M 468MP adhesive and naked PEI film separately.

@Thomas_Sanladerer Yeah, that’s the problem there, where to source the PEI film in Germany. It seems to be available only in the US mostly…

@Romeo_Pavel or at filafarm. But ive looked it up today. Its 300x300 or 300x600mm only. Youll need to cascade it then or so
