Hello guys me Noah again just letting you know I haven’t gotten a new motherboard but I have a random question that I am simply asking out of curiosity and I have no idea if I want to do it or not.
First of all I have seen plenty of videos online with 3D printed houses from concrete with a large scale 3D printer. One problem is that very few people including me own a 3D printer that can print concrete and print something as big as an entire house. What if you didn’t 3D print the whole house at once and just print it bit by bit?
Here’s what I was thinking was to 3D print giant Lego bricks and assemble the house bit by bit. If I were to do this I would need a special material and all kinds of designs for giant Lego bricks. What material should I use that is relatively light weight, hard, sturdy, strong, and heat insulating enough for the house? Also what kind of designs for Lego bricks would I need to design a castle? Also what procedures would I need to take into action for designing and building a 3D printed Lego castle house? Thanks!!!
@william_foster Well I also came up with a funny idea with 3D printing. I suppose it would be more expensive to do that but easier to build. But what if I 3d printed a cast made from a 3d printer and went over it with plaster. I know some houses are made from plaster and I want to see the practical innovations a 3d printer can be for architecture but I suppose the next question would be what plaster to use use. There are plenty of historical mistakes of houses being made from plaster. Thanks!!!
@Noah_Schreiber , fact of the matter is: Mud is cheap. Cement is cheap. FAR cheaper than plastics. You’re better off figuring out a way to pump these materials than you are trying to become a materials engineer and create a new material…which ultimately will likely end up being very similar to mud/cement, etc.
Doll houses may be an option . Doll house furniture , fittings , appliances , decor and artefacts . Some Dolls and Doll houses have become valuable collectors items . Architectural models and terrain models have been printed .
