Hello. I am new here and new to Laserweb4. I’m running it on a MAC running OS X Mountain Lion and the latest version of Google Chrome.
The problem I’m having is that laserweb4 isn’t displaying properly. I have no left-side menus and no grid. The only thing I can see are the colored red and green axis numbers. I’ve gone in to chrome:/flags/ and ensured webgl is active and restarted chrome with no success.
Has anyone seen this or have any other suggestions?
I’ve tested opengl on my Mac and the tests run fine. I go to google sites to test opengl they say the browser appears to support opengl but it is not functioning. I’ve gone into chrome://flags and enabled webgl and restarted both chrome and my machine - no luck. Any suggestions?
Mountain lion… A bit aged. That error means you got no webgl. If is a desktop maybe you can get a new gfx card.
Or try downgrading chrome to an earlier version. They appear to have removed webgl support on some older graphics chipsets recently.
It appears to be a google chrome issue. I’ve tested open gl on my machine and it works fine. I’ve found a flag in google that allows it to pass the webgl test but it causes other google chrome issues.
Yes, this is an old machine but it is what I have.
Here is a screen shot of what I’m getting. Any helpful suggestions are greatly appreciated…
You will need to right click on the display and click Inspect to open the Debugger then click on the Console tab. This will give you a better indication of whats going on since it should show an error message of some kind.
Most likely though is that you’re running latest chrome and they’ve removed support for your chipset. Try downloading an older version of Chromium, say version 60, that should still work and Chromium does not auto update so you should have a standalone version of it for use with Laserweb.
Thanks. I’ll give that a try
