Hello i am new to this group. Anyone that is using PEI for adhesive here? PLA is lifting on corners

I’m a fan of glue stick on unheated glass for PLA.

Hairspray. Look out for video by 3d printing professor (Joe Larson), he explains it well

On YouTube, that’s where his videos are found

Yes, I’m using PEI coated aluminium bed and it works extremely well with PLA. Just keep it clean and heat it to 70 degrees of Celsius and you are ready to go. Prints are unattached when the bed cools down. Works every time!

also using a PEI sheet on an aluminum bed - and as @Topias_Korpi mentioned, temperatures are extremely important. for me it’s 65C for the bed, and printing the PLA i use at +5C over the normal printing temperature (200C when normal print temperature is 195C).
2 more things that i have personally found help a LOT with PEI adhesion are:

  1. NO layer fan for the first 3 layers. with the layer fan i would get great adhesion except for the corners - which would lift.
  2. slow first layer (i used to print a first layer at 20-30mm/s but with the PEI bed i have to settle for 15mm/s for the first layer).

also - if you have a very smooth (glass smooth) PEI sheet, then you will get an amazing finish, but it’s a bit harder to get proper adhesion.
i have heard that people use a ~1200grit sandpaper (very fine sandpaper) to rough the surface a bit, you will still get a good finish on the bottom - but will have better adhesion with less effort (maybe even too much adhesion some say). i have not tried this personally - but i will when i have the time. since the PEI sheet i have (1.65mm thickness) can be used both sides - i can always rough up one of them…

I also got a 2mm pei but it’s not perfect straight and it should be glued with 3m tape

I have pei on a Mic6 bed: at first I couldn’t get anything to sick, and thought it was over hyped. Then I took my orbital sander to it with a fine grit, went from a clear sheet to nice and opaque. Now I have to be careful that things stick too well.
I print in pla, with the bed at 60, zero warping anymore.
Note, purple glue sick on glass works great too, I use that on my other bot.

I also run PEI on a 65 degree bed for PLA; the 1200 grit sandpaper trick works like a charm for me
