Hello, I’m expericing some problems with the auto level feature.
Most of the time after I’ve completed the auto level and send the gcode to workspace my Z axis won’t come down enough, it will start milling my pcb in the air, when it arrives at x0 and y0 position it will mill through the copper.

I’ve also had the same problem but the other way around, my Z axis will go to deep into the pcb. But this problem will not appear as often as the other.

One or two times the autoleveling has been perfect.

I’m running grbl v1.1 and workspace /jpadie.

After thinking about it a little more and think it may be that the stepper motor misses a step. I have already turned down the accel/decel rate but I will also turn down maximum feedrate and change the motorcables to shielded ones and then give it another go.
