Hello,
It seems like plastic doesn’t stick to my heated bad.
I started to use 3mm brim around element - but I had times where I was able to print without it.
details: PLA 200 C, heated bed 70 C (already raised from 60 C because of same issue)
I use clean paper towel with rubbing alcohol on glass before printing.
It may vary from filament to filament.
Blue tape, and if you still have issues with it not sticking go over the blue tape with a lint free cloth and a bit of alcohol (just a touch on the cloth) that opens up the pores of the tape a bit and helps with adhesion. But of you go over the tape too much it allows the PLA to stick a little too well.
I’ve not had any luck with hairspray, smaller parts stuck a bit better than usual but bigger ones still warped and the finish was naff. I’ve tried a few different kinds and it’s always a bitch to clean off! ABS juice worked but is messy to make and clean. Painters tape was good for pla but not abs. Kapton tape is my go-to always works response, pla and abs stick beautifully and it gives a nice flat shiny finish. But it’s pricey and a bitch to apply. PVA is on my to do list, but mixing with water then brushing on does seem a bit annoying!
Try Krylon’s “Workable Fixatif” (arts & crafts store, a bit more expensive than hairspray but goes a long way ). Requires good ventilation when applying but cleans up easily with isopropyl. Works very well for both PLA & ABS. If you find it works too well, apply the fixative to the paper side of freezer paper and use spray adhesive on the poly side to stick to your heated bed. Krylon’s “Easy Tack” spray adhesive also cleans up easily with isopropyl. You can run your bed a bit cooler for ABS with this approach. While a bit more work, the freezer paper is a superior alternative to Kapton IMO.
