Hello! Just wondering, anyone on here with an EZ3D Phoenix? I had one a while ago and had a bad experience with it, just wondering what other people think.
Hi Harry, I ordered an Ez3D Phoenix in March, received it just before the Thanksgiving holiday in November and sold it for parts to a friend about 3 weeks ago. I had mine for about 9 weeks. I spent many, many hours trying to get halfway decent prints out of it, playing around with settings, calibrating, putting up with buggy software, etc. I had to stop using it to save my sanity. I learned my lesson and will do more research before doing something like that again. On the positive side the forums were very helpful. It was comforting, and sad, to know that I wasn’t the only one having problems.
I’ve moved onto a PowerSpec 3DX from MicroCenter - was less expensive than the Ez3D (last years model on closeout) and has working dual extruders. I’ve been printing pretty much non-stop with absolutely NO jams whatsoever. I’m printing quadcopter & model airplane parts using PLA and am having a blast.
Happy 3D printing and hope whatever model you have that it’s working well for you!
@Dan_McArdell My experience exactly! Now running a RigidBot, which came working beautifully and now I’m constantly upgrading and modding to improve it further.
