Hello maybe you can help me.
I have a prusa i3 with marlin 1.3 and ramps 1.4
Since I’ve changed the arduino board my X axis doesn’t work anymore.
Here is what I’ve done so far:
- tested the X motor in other axis WORKS
- tested the X stepper driver on other axis WORKS
- tested with other firmware (sprinter) DOESN’T WORK
- tested Vref on X axis stepper driver and It’s 2 Volt (even with the trimmer set to zero), if I move to other axis the Vref is 0.4 as normal.
So my guess is I’ve burn something in Ramps that control the voltage of X axis driver.
There is anything I can do ? I’ve try to change the pins in order to use E1 as X but it doesn’t work… do you have a correct configuration to send me ?
Thanks
Have you swapped another motor onto the X Axis? IF the motor and drive work on other axes, you’ve reduced the variables to the board and firmware…or a transient that goes away when you touch it…like wiring.
Yes… doesn’t work. Do you have a marlin configuration in order to use E1 as X ? Also I’ve noticed that under the X stepper driver one jumper is missing… what does it means ?
IF it’s a spare jumper, nothing…if it’s the jumper necessary to set the stepping…it’s important!
Pictures would be helpful at this point.
Do you know how can I use e1 output to drive x ? Switching pins doesn’t seems to work
Pins.h handles the mapping, you should be able to do so.
Yes but even if I switch the x pins with e1 pins I have no response from repetier commands
And you don’t have access to another controller…ever plan on building a second printer? You could buy it’s controller now to test.
