Hello my name is Kev,

Hello my name is Kev, I am wondering if I can use this microphone amplifier

with a Adafruit Flora

to control a RGB neopixel…

My current code is written under the neo pixel library like this:
https://create.arduino.cc/editor/pandariot779/967c90cd-ba4a-4361-8373-9e5fa33e3f78/preview

but i want to include FastLED’s non-destructive bright ness control.

Thank you,

(Newb Hacker)

I think I have one of those, and it didn’t work out well for me. Certainly, the aliexpress sound sensors are the worst. I have had very poor luck with anything other than:

It runs off of the 3.3V line on an Arduino UNO or Nano and has a gain of 67db. If you DO get it and it works for you, I’d love to hear.

sure thing! I am also wondering if i can include multiple libraries in one sketch. I never tried using

#include neopixal
#include FastLED before

I have used quite a few of these and they have worked quite well.

interesting, looks like you were able to adjust the brightness in the water torture setting. did you use fastLED?

I used both… the code is in the description… it’s not pretty but it works

awesome i will have to take a look at it when i get home.

I am only using one neopixel

@PandaRiot779 the Adafruit flora may work for this but stay away from the arduino lilypad i could not get it to work with fastled to save my life. And even with the neopixel library i could only get patterns to work when clocked to 400KHz not the regular 800. As far as the microphone its a great one ive used it before.

I helped a friend successfully make this, which uses what looks like the same setup: https://learn.adafruit.com/ursulas-seashell-necklace/overview
