Help needed keeping kids involved!
Help the next generation keep the open source community alive, I am looking for someone to help a co-worker and friend out. His daughter is part of a class that learns about robotics using Legos, they are looking for someone to do a onetime 30 min Skype session to show a group of 10 year old girls a high level overview of how apps communicate to robotics. You do not need to be an expert or go into great detail. I thought this would be a great opportunity to get the next generation interested in building apps and the open source community. Below are some more details and contact info for anyone interested in helping.
What we are looking for:
- App development
a. Help the girls understand what it takes to design the graphic properties of an app
b. How to code the functionality of the app
c. What tools are used to do the coding
d. What languages are used to build the app - If no app experience – regular software development would work to. All the above criteria would apply except it wouldn’t be for an app
