Here are some plaques that I cut and v-carved on the Shapeoko2 as Christmas gifts. I made 2 more for a total of 4, but I forgot to take pictures of the other 2 :frowning:

Workflow was using F-engrave with a bottom left origin, and then laying out individual pieces in Inkscape. Once I got those laid out, I hand edited a gcode file to put all the pieces of gcode together and position the zero point before each piece using the coordinates I got from inkscape (just using G92 commands to reset the origin before each one).

Cutting turned out to be the easiest part. Staining and painting could be a PhD all in itself. Geez. Some of these were painted and sanded about 6 or 7 times before I could get something I was happy with.

Amen to the staining process! My brother is the one who stained the birthday cards I have made. He says he used glaze, just a thought.

Wow. What bit did you use to get the seal up top?

Oh, the seal is not made of wood. It is one of the four that came off of my grandfather’s casket.
