Here is a really fun project I want to share with the community. It demonstrates well the results I can get when creating a complex tight tolerance assembly using multiple printers with differently calibrated filaments and nozzle sizes.

It’s a completely 3D printed mechanism for actuating the wings on a 1:35 scale X-Wing fighter model. I have printed three of the mechanisms all with interchangeable parts.

Tolerances between the 13 parts range from 0.004" - 0.006" depending on the function. Parts were printed using 0.4 and 0.3mm nozzles.

A link to the video showing the assembly and installation can be found here for those interested in more details.

That is so cool!

Thanks! Big Star Wars fan as well?

Wow that nice

@Jeff_Parish aren’t we all? :wink:
