Here is quick speed/precision test of my alu h-bot build. 200-300mm/s and 9000mm/s acceleration! Openbuilds V-Rail extrusion as a frame and linear rails. http://youtu.be/UmeUXguKNJc
Wow, very impressive! What kind of hotend can keep up that speed? Whatever you’ve done a great job! Thumbs up!
I really don’t know
I’m planning to make it mostly my self though
But I think it’s good starting point when printer can handle great speeds!
and here is project topic of my older build (which works as organ donor :D) and this build http://www.soliforum.com/topic/7531/diy-aluminium-3dprinter-build-2/page/4/
Sweet. Reminds me to get mine put together.
@paul_wallich Do you have openbuilds rails also? Or some project blog?
I’ve got the v-rail, some steppers with attached leadscrews from robotdigg, connectors, at least one known-working extruder and hot-end, and so forth. What I don’t have are time or space, especially since the table I would be using for assembly is currently covered in scanning-electron-microscope parts from a unit someone in the next town over was sending to the scrapyard. Maybe I should reblog the extruder builds just to make people laugh…
