Here’s a shot of my VFD
I suggest cable shoes instead of clamping down on stranded wire. Especially on a machine that vibrates.
Why do I see a RED wire going into the Protective Earth input? Shouldn’t that be green+yellow striped (or plain gree in Brazil, USA and Canada)?
Update: The stamped on GND-symbol is misleading. The paper label clears up the confusion.
@Marcus_Wolschon Therein lieth the real confusion Marcus. All of that just about made me commit Harry Carry. After comparing my VFD with the same make/model VFD of others on the net, I believe I got a “knock-off” VFD, which, in and of itself wouldn’t necessarily be a tragedy if either the wiring was the same, or they had labels that didn’t contradict themselves. As it stands, I have no idea what each screw terminal is. I have decided to order a VFD from the factory through Amazon. Not living in the US, you are likely unfamiliar with 4-wire 220v outlets. Don’t feel bad, I live here and I’m just now getting a crash course in the subject. Apparently, we have (at least) 2-types of wiring for 220v. I had to switch from 3-wire to 4-wire. That compounded the confusion. I think I should be able to wire it if the terminals are similar to others from the same manufacturer.
