Here the visualisation of some highly (over)compressed audio material. In the analyzer it´s just a mess. All bands up, no rhythm visible.
When judging the animation please keep in mind that in reality the visualisation runs @700+fps- so the video shows just a little part of the animation and the video frame rate interferes with the leds frame rate, too. With all “normal” music in looks pretty good already.

Too early yet to show details. I´ll demonstrate and comment different approaches later.This here is a little data softening + a ring buffer for the max records + mapping the results + scroll and fade everything fast.
It kind of finds itself the right threshold level for triggering changes.
Okay, I see that I need to show the results with a decend led setup and music the produces a very clear animation. Will follow.
