Here you go Larry urbano .

Here you go @Larry1 . Keep in mind that this was for a WS2801 design (only the 2801 and 2803 existed when I made this.) On the front you only had the LED, and on the back the IC, three current resistors, and a capacitor. Holes match a high-density ribbon cable perfectly. The only problem with these was that I made the “snap-off” holes too small so I couldn’t actually snap them apart. I had to use a Dremel tool with a 0.8mm cutting wheel to cut them. Which was fine because it then gave me a nice smooth edge. They ended up being 10mm x 14mm which is pretty small as it is. If I were to make these for the WS2812, they’d be smaller. And like I said, OSHPark will do the inside contour cutting like this. iTead/Seeed won’t.

That’s pretty much it. How much did they end up running you?

when you said ribbon cable I was picturing the plastic connectors on each side. Haha

I forgot, this was some four years ago. They messed up the order and sent it via slow boat. When I complained, they re-sent it on a jet for free. In the end I ended up with like 60 of these panels instead of the original 30 that I needed.

You can still do something similar with iTead/Seeed (though you’re limited in how many times you can tile it), but you’ll have to cut the individual pieces out yourself. Again, Dremel tool.

Cutting is absolutely no problem I’ve got more than a few dremels was around my house.

I think I want to do the same with lpd8860’s and do 2 pixels every 3 inches.

Yeah but iTead/Seeed will only allow up to 5x tileing of the same layout.

Unless you’re sending hundred of dollars worth of work for them … like I do.

Probably won’t use them then. Im going to need a few 100 if everything goes well.

I need to check out iteadstudio. A lot of people keep telling me about them.

You can send it as-is to OSHPark and just order multiples, or you can tile it onto something easy to work with, like 50x50mm or close to that, and still use OSHPark to do the inside contour cutting and you snap them apart.
