Basically I’ve replaced the RC electronics with my own microcontroller board for controlling the motors/servos and a Jetson TK1 board for Linux. For now I’m using only one 3D printed part, and that’s for the camera.
In the video I’m routing the communication over some 800km distance and the car is using an LTE link.
Maybe someday it has 60 FPS stereo camera and I can remote drive it with an Oculus Rift
