Here’s the schematic for my rpm meter. The final implementation may very well be without Arduino entirely, because the ir detector just need an extra transistor to be able to pull the ppt pin down.
Here’s also some picture material from the process. I’m experimenting a lot to find the right solution.
The detector is NOT from a mouse. Initially I just found the part between parts from mouse’s I have scavenged but it’s clear now that this part is not coming from a mouse. Sorry about the confusion.
That looks nice. The opaque half circle doesn’t add vibration? Or is it so light it doesn’t matter.
